Concurrency, Inc. Hosts Elmbrook LAUNCH Program Interns, Offering Exposure from Machine Learning to Virtual Reality for Business Solutions

An extension of the firm's Concurrency University program

MILWAUKEE, WI, December 06, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Student interns from Elmbrook high schools are getting exposure to the hottest technology trends in the business world, including data science, machine learning and virtual reality, as part of their work at Brookfield-based professional services firm Concurrency, Inc.

Three local high schoolers are currently conducting internships at Concurrency as part of the Elmbrook school district's LAUNCH program, which is designed to connect student's academic knowledge to real-world business problems and projects. The LAUNCH program was inaugurated on September 1, 2017; visit www.elmbrookschools.org/launch for more information.

"Education is right at the core of who we are as a firm," said Kate Weiland, Vice President of Human Capital at Concurrency. "From sponsoring continuing education and certifications for employees at all levels to our in-depth early-career training experience, Concurrency University, our focus is always on helping people stay at the cutting edge. We're proud to host the LAUNCH interns as part of that culture."

The LAUNCH interns are onsite at Concurrency for 8 weeks. They are tasked with projects to help run and build Concurrency's business, including exposure to marketing automation. Concurrency is host to one of Microsoft's HoloLens demonstrations, which the students are also given an opportunity to experience--and be among the first to learn how virtual reality technology is reaching not just the consumer world, such as in gaming, but also the business world with highly practical applications for accomplishing specialized tasks.
