U.S. jobless claims bounce higher one week after dropping to 45-year low

U.S. initial jobless claims climbed 13,000 to 233,000 in the seven days ended Jan 20. But the small increase comes just one week after new claims had fallen to a 45-year low, clear evidence that the U.S. enjoys the best labor market in years.
