Shopping Online is Easy - Delivery Should Be Too. Philadelphia Based Startup is Helping to Prevent Package Theft

PackagePost™, a Brewerytown-based start-up launched the first cost-effective, carrier neutral package receiving solution to hit the market. Recently expanded to Northern Liberties, South Street, and Center City.

PHILADELPHIA, PA, April 04, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- PackagePost™ is a community of local businesses willing to accept packages for local residents when they are not at home to receive them. The service helps prevent package theft while driving more foot traffic to Brick and Mortar Stores. Local stores with sufficient open hours register as a PackagePost™. They decide the number of subscribers whose packages they will receive. Subscribers sign up for a subscription to the store, paying a monthly fee. The subscriber shops online, and addresses packages in their name to the store. When their package arrives, the store uses the website interface to notify the subscriber by email. The subscriber stops by the store to collect the package at their convenience.

As online commerce grows, logistical solutions to ensure delivery in cities remains a challenge, even for major shippers. Rather than centralized distribution centers, PackagePost™ connects local businesses, with existing staff and operating hours, with their neighborhood online shoppers. This keeps costs low for subscribers, particularly for grocery deliveries.
"Package theft in the city is a huge problem," says Kate Zinsky Founder and CEO of PackagePost™. "My own experience with it – losing a week's groceries left on my stoop – was why I had to start PackagePost™. Other services either only worked with certain shippers or were way too expensive."

Not sure? They are running a promotion for first month free with promo code Social2018. You can cancel at any time with no cost.

Founded by two Drexel Engineering graduates, Ann Sitarz and Kate Zinsky, PackagePost™ is a Philadelphia based package delivery solution that takes the stress out of ordering online.

Businesses and subscribers can sign up for PackagePost at MyPackagePost.com or visit them on facebook or twitter @PackagePost.
