Dow soars 300 points as US-China trade tensions cool

The Dow surged due to hopes that a trade war between the US and China can be avoided. Investors were betting on multinationals like Apple, Boeing and Caterpillar, as well as chip stocks that sell to ZTE and other big Chinese firms.
